I explored different vibes and familiar textures sonically on this album, with a focus on keeping things true to the root of why I create. I produced this entirely with the MPK mini, and on the record, do my best to illustrate concepts of willpower and discipline and how they impact the creative Black man. With an array of rhyme schemes, and the collaborative efforts of some amazing fellow independent artists, RUGBY was curated to symbolize the duality of precise presentation and keepin' it grimey.
